About the event

The passage of Ghana's Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP) Act, 2025 (Act 1154) and the Bank of Ghana’s e-Cedi initiatives have established institutional readiness for decentralized technologies. However, a critical market bottleneck remains: an acute shortage of senior enterprise professionals capable of moving projects from conceptual curiosity to compliant, production-grade deployment.

The Enterprise Blockchain Bootcamp (EBB) is an intensive corporate execution lab designed to bridge this gap. This is not a conventional training seminar for passive learning. Corporate pods enter the cohort with a pre-scoped, industry-specific operational friction point. Over six weeks, teams actively engineer and deploy functional blockchain protocols, architectural blueprints, and live technology prototypes that their businesses will directly implement, pitch to their boards, and use post-cohort.

Program Framework & 6-Week Curriculum

The cohort uses a hybrid delivery model to accommodate corporate schedules. Each week splits its instruction across a 4-day cadence: virtual sessions on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, and physical build labs on Thursdays & Fridays at the AIMS-Ghana campus. To accelerate execution, 5 experienced blockchain senior developers will be embedded in the physical labs to help teams code their proprietary systems.

  • Week 1 | Cryptographic Foundations & Architecture: Virtual deep-dives into DLT primitives; physical labs configuring environment nodes.

  • Week 2 | Smart Contracts & Node Infrastructures: Virtual workshops on deterministic logic; physical code sprints compiling smart contracts under senior developer guidance.

  • Week 3 | Compliance, VASP Act & Core Tokens: Virtual compliance mapping; physical token minting. Includes a Regulatory Compliance Fireside Chat with confirmed participation from the SEC Ghana.

  • Week | Systems Integration & User Journeys: Virtual API gateway routing; physical integration sprints driven by Design Thinking Ghana to map builds to UX workflows.

  • Week 5 | Production Hardening & Security: Virtual vulnerability patching; In-Person 1-on-1 structural auditing and live sprint tuning with assigned local mentors.

  • Week 6 | Final Builds & Staging Deployments: Staging validations, culminating in the Grand Demo Day to showcase working assets to regulators and corporate boards.

The 7 Core Macroeconomic Pillars

Organizations must maintain a dedicated 3-person corporate pod (CTO/Tech Lead, CFO-type, and COO-type) to anchor this execution marathon. Teams build custom systems mapping strictly to seven strategic sectors:

  1. Banking & FinTech: Inter-bank KYC data vaults, asset tokenization, and real-time clearing.

  2. Telecommunications: Securing mobile money pools and federated digital identity frameworks.

  3. Retail & Agricultural Export: Immutable farm-to-port supply chains ensuring ethical trade compliance (e.g., EUDR).

  4. Extractive Industries: Tamper-proof gold provenance logs and automated petroleum royalty distribution.

  5. Healthcare: Interoperable, secure, patient-permissioned medical records and pharmaceutical tracking.

  6. Education: Blockchain-verified academic credentialing to permanently eliminate certificate forgery.

  7. Property & Energy Infrastructure: Decentralized municipal land registries and micro-grid energy trading.

Operations, Regulatory Alignment & Partnership Benefits

  • Regulatory Engagement: We have confirmed participation from the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana, who will join our regulatory compliance sessions in an observer capacity. We are also coordinating with the Bank of Ghana’s Virtual Assets Office to align EBB prototypes with official regulatory sandbox pathways.

  • Stellar Foundation Integration: As a primary technology rail, the Stellar Foundation provides technical advocacy and a priority pathway for high-impact enterprise prototypes to access grants and SCF support.

  • Media Partnership: Recruitment and awareness will be amplified through a strategic media partnership with Citi FM and Channel One TV throughout June and July.

  • Strategic Partnerships: MEST Africa contributes two developers to the infrastructure in exchange for a cohort startup slot; top-tier AIMS-Ghana scholars embed directly into the labs.

  • Participation: The fee is GHS 35, 000 per corporate team processed into GhanaThink’s Ecobank account.
